Daylight Savings Time

ActiveBatch supports Daylight Savings and Standard time as well as time zones that do not provide for Daylight Savings. Time computations are performed on both the database machine as well as the Job Scheduler machine.

 

ActiveBatch’s handling of the time period during which the transition occurs is as follows (We will use the US Daylight Savings/Standard Time periods):

 

Spring - Objects scheduled between 0200 and 0259 will run immediately at 0300 (single instance).

 

Fall - Objects are not affected during the transition (objects scheduled between 0100-0159 are not re-run).

 

Note: The Job Scheduler uses the Operating System tables to determine when and at what time any transition to Daylight or Standard time may occur.
