System Center Operations Manager
ActiveBatch supports two steps for System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). The steps allow you to enable and exit maintenance mode for a selected object.
Enable Maintenance Mode
This job step enables maintenance mode for the selected object.
Job Step Properties
Server Name – This property represents the host where System Center Operations Manager resides.
Credentials – This property is a User Account object that contains the security credentials appropriate to this operation.
Domain Name – This property is the domain where “server name” resides and needs to be specified if the execution machine and SCOM server are in different domains.
SCOM Object Type – This property is a real-time enumeration of all the SCOM object types.
SCOM Object Name – This property, based on the Object Type, is a real-time enumeration of the objects matching the object types.
Duration – This property, in minutes, indicates the length of time the object is to remain in maintenance mode. The minimum duration is five (5) minutes.
Reason – This property is a dropdown containing various built-in reasons.
Comment – This property should indicate a complementary reason as to why the operation was performed.
Apply to – This optional property indicates the recursion level of the objects you wish to enter maintenance mode. By default, OneLevel or the current object name selected is set. Recursive would select that object as well as any other nested objects within.
Exit Maintenance Mode
This job step exits maintenance mode for the selected object.
