Tags Pane
The Tags pane provides the ability to create and manage tags. Tags provide an easy way to catalog or associate one or more look-up tags to an object. In this section, you will find various topics that describe tag features. Below is a bit of general tag information, and a few important notes.
The Tag object is a Job Scheduler based object in which you can create categories that can later be associated to any of the ActiveBatch objects. For example, if you had a Plan and nested Jobs which implemented the End-of-Day processing for a given application, you could create a Tag named “EOD”. If you needed to look up objects associated with EOD, you would use the Tag look up facility. An object can be associated with multiple tags. For example, “EOD” and “FX” might be two tags that represent “End-of-Day” and “Foreign-Exchange” (a banking application). This will allow you to retrieve the objects based on either or both tags.
Note: Tags are global to an ActiveBatch Job Scheduler so their scope cannot be limited.
Note: You are currently limited to fifty-five (55) tags. This limitation is in place to ensure high performance when performing object retrieval based on tags.
