Introduction - Self-Service Portal

Welcome to the ActiveBatch^® Self Service Portal (SSP) Users Guide.

 

The Self-Service Portal Users Guide is intended for Business Users or non-IT users of the ActiveBatch Workload Automation system. The SSP has been designed to allow the users two general categories of access, described below.

 

The first is the ability to run approved workflows and/or jobs on an ad-hoc basis. Depending on the type of job or workflow, the ability to input your own parameters may also be present.

 

The second is the ability to watch or monitor approved workflows and/or jobs that may be of specific interest to your business. You won’t be able to run those workflows/jobs but you can monitor them when they do execute.

 

When we say SSP has been designed for the Business User or non-IT user, we mean that you won’t need to know or understand ActiveBatch terminology from an IT perspective. We’ve designed the portal to allow you to use verbs and operations that are intuitive and easy to understand. You will, however, need to understand the business aspects of the workflows you’ll be able to watch or run.
