Monitoring the ActiveBatch System
This section describes various features that assist an ActiveBatch operator when monitoring the runtime environment. Some of the features include the various Instances views that are discussed in the Views and Panes sections.
In the Panes section, you will find a description of the following instance-related panes: Instances Pane, Instance Details Pane, Alerts View, and Generic Queue Instances Pane.
In the Views section, you will find a description of the following instance-related views: Daily Activity, Gantt Chart, Heuristic Queue Allocations, Notifications View, Operations View, and Runbook View. An operator can also access the Machine Load View which depicts resource utilization on the Execution Agent systems, and the Queue Counters that displays queue counts, active and historical.
Views that report on instance data present the information in a different ways (formats). An ActiveBatch operator may have a preferred view that they use to monitor the environment.
In addition to the links to the various views above, this section will discuss topics such as Instance history (audits, variable, logs, etc.), batch runs, managing queues and other concepts that can assist in monitoring the runtime environment. In addition, actions an operator can take against an instance are also described here, along with instance states (e.g. failed, waiting, aborted, etc.).
