Panes
Panes are defined as sections or areas of the overall ActiveBatch Console. Based on the initial factory settings, the following panes are displayed when you first connect to a Job Scheduler:
-
Object Navigation (upper left corner)
-
Views (lower left corner)
-
Instances (lower section, to the right of the Views pane)
-
Main view (above the Instances pane) which by default displays the Job Scheduler Information view, as depicted in the image below. Many other features, as they are selected in the interface, are tabbed in the Main view.
As depicted in the image below, the Views and Instances pane are shared with other panes. The Object Navigation pane is not shared with any other pane. Shared means that as other panes are opened, they are tabbed alongside the Views or Instances pane.
The Panes documentation section describes the panes outlined in red in the image below. Note: The Views and Object Navigation Panes are not outlined in red because they have their own section in the documentation.
In the lower right-hand corner of AbatConsole you will see that panes can be opened and closed by clicking on the Open/Close Panes button, then selecting the desired pane.
Open/Close Panes button
-
A check next to a pane name indicates the pane is open.
-
If you click on an open pane in the list, the check will be removed, and the pane will be closed.
-
If you click on a closed pane in the list, a check will be added next to the selected pane, and the pane will be opened.
Note: If there is a check next to the Pane name, indicating it is open, but you do not see it in its usual position in the UI, it is likely because it has been hidden. When a Pane is hidden, you will see its associated tab(s) along the perimeter of the application. Click on the desired tab to pull up the pane, then right-click on the title bar and Dock the pane (there are other options in addition to Dock).
In the image below, all of the panes have been opened and automatically tabbed in either:
-
The left corner pane - The Views and Properties tabs are both open by default. The Views tab is active by default.
-
The lower pane below the Main view - The Instances pane, which is open/active by default.
Only one tab per pane can be active at any given time.
